On February 6th, members of Democratic State Committee braved a major snowstorm to cast endorsement votes for US Senator, Governor, and Lieutenant Governor. County leaders across the Pennsylvania backed Jack, making him the top vote-getter in the Democratic race for Governor. Jack earned more than 50 percent of the vote and twice the total of his nearest opponent. He also earned the majority of votes in 43 county caucuses. After the vote, Jack said:
Our party must stand for reform and that is why so many members of our party – the party of small businesses and working people – gave me their support today. People want change. People want reform. The status quo is not acceptable. Back room deals are not acceptable. People matter to me and to this Democratic Party and that is the message delivered today.
